The history of the world is written to tell the authors version of events
We grew up we believed we new so much how long people have been recording events and the order and details of said events then I grow up and things change no longer were the American continents discovered by Columbus in 1492 we now know the vikings had been coming here at least 500 years before him we discover more evidence of older and further away civilizations were coming to our shores I just saw this docuseries on the history Channel that a very old artifact was found in Texas not novascotia or any where along any of the coasts it is a hammer a metal hammer head so we no it's not native American right they used stone tools before we corrupted them this hammer is so old that the handle is starting to what they call coalsify the wood handle is turning into coal the experts claim that process takes around 140 million years now all this sounds so amazing can you believe it their were people just like us using the exact same tools as us way back in the crutacious period but then it kind of throws a wrench in the works doesn't it if you believe Darwins theory wich is all it is their is absolutely no scientific proof that we ever were any kind of lesser creatures but this hammer basically proves beyond all reasonable doubt that we have not evolved at all in 140 million years to this day a wooden handled metal hammer is one of our most valued tools (edited)

Christmas Tree Aurora πβ¨οΈ
It was December and the sky lit up like a Christmas tree. Shimmering, the vivid green, blue, and purple auroral colors that formed the tree-like apparition were caused by high atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen reacting to a burst of incoming electrons. Collisions caused the orbital electrons of atoms... read more

The land bridge
Polynesians definitely made it to the new world. It was not just the bearing straight land bridge that brought homosapians to the Americas. I base this on genetic similarities as well as the fact that they made it to Easter Island. (Why wouldn't they complete the journey?)

The first usage of the Arabic numerals in Europe!
In this manuscript from 1202 you can see the very first time the Arabic numerals were used in Europe, in a work by Fibonacci. A century later, they had almost completely replaced the roman ones, and 800 years later we still use them every day! #culture #numbers #history #classics #knowledge (edited)
