The "Universal Pattern"

Have you ever wondered - even before the existence of social media Or inter country connections there was one common thing in every country that is - witches, Unexplained figures at nights and stories that passed down generations like don't go out after certain time and even some rituals are older that we don't know when it even started. So my question is does it really prove that these evil spirits or walkers lurkes in the shadows and convinces the Light( outer )world that they don't exist except for some people who really live in the dark with them?
