Journal September proverbs

Mom just called at 4:41 p.m. She spoke to me in a Proverb, something about February weather; I didn't understand it.🤔

My parents were born in Greece, but they met in Canada. Mom was a hairdresser and dad worked odd jobs. He worked in a factory and later a waiter. My great Aunt set them up through a picture. Mom said 'he wasn't her type', but Dad desired her. When Dad was young, his teacher told him to proceed in Mathematics, but he didn't want too.

I love my journal app.
Also I'm secretly proud of my (relative) mood stabitily and just gratelul I feel like this now

Obsessed with my digital journal

When mom is not angry, she literally speaks in Proverbs. It is like a whole other language I don't understand. This I cannot do, I just explain them.

I wasn't born with knowledge. No. I had to work for what I know today. Little by little regularly over decades, I dedicated myself to learning. Just like you need to lift weights to gain muscle, the brain also needs exercises. Anyone can be intelligent, you just have to work at it. That's all.

I'm at psychiatric ward, waiting for my appointment. The weather is beautiful today and what a nice clean building. 🍒

Nice day

I had a nice day today:

1. I went to Doctor's to make an appointment for refills. They took me in because someone had canceled. I even got extra refills!

2. I visited my sister. We had a nice time. We had coffee.  ☕️ 

3. Workers came by to fix something in my apartment. 

4. Weather is turning bad, grateful to be inside my home.

Recently someone left a sharp knife on the floor facing my apartment door. Am I afraid? No. Why? Because I'm mentally prepared. I've read good books over the years to build up my thoughts to be strong. I've had these bad experiences before, but I refuse to fear because we all have to die at some point.

Don't fear

That was my prompt of the day for yesterday's brain dump and I got a surprising amount of thoughts to chew on moving forward. 

One thing I realised is that I want to be more adventurous.

What do you yearn for?

I don't like going to church, I don't like reading any holy books. I don't like prayer. But life is very difficult and not easy to understand at times. Work life, family life can also be very difficult, health problems are scary too! Life is very unpredictable! Prayer and reading wisdom books offers discipline, order, understanding how the world operates. Having this knowledge is beneficial.🌍🌱

Scripture Writing

Sometimes I don't like reading, especially a book. I'm always fidgety, so reading is challenging at times. Thank goodness for proverbs!🌟

I remember grandma making cheese. I would watch her work hard. I was eight.

A 'boring life you live' they say. Ask them, do you know how to make wine, cheese and bread? Do you know how to make your own clothes? Do you know how to built a shed, a shelf, a library? How to make olive oil? etc.... 🤔

If you record a vlog and just watch it. You end up learning allot about yourself. Thought about uploading it. Lil to private, kinda fun though. Anyway mornin or whatever folks.

I have been feeling down lately because this year I started the year with no friends the last friend I had to cut out of my life she got angry with me and instead of communicating how I upset her she decided to intentionally say things to hurt me I was so clueless that anything I said had hurt her as I had no bad intention with my words understanding someone is a choice and she decided to misunderstand because misunderstandings happen in connections because there is lack of trust I have been there for her as a friend to support her and she still no matter what decides that I am not to be trusted this has happened in my relationships and friendships and it is heartbreaking to me to always be painted as the villain and people decide it is okay or justifiable to hurt me because in their story I am the villain because of someone’s lack of trust and decision yes active decision to misunderstand if there is lack of trust you will create the narrative that supports this mindset if there is trust you create the narrative of trust and communicate more patiently with people I’m so exhausted she keeps asking to be friends and I cannot allow this because one day she decides I’m a good friend and the next day she decides I’m a bad friend I give up such friendships and relationships I cannot feel safe and the energy to consistently apologize for misunderstandings they choose to create and forgive for how they choose to treat me during those misunderstandings is just too much one friend before my first attempt to end my life was a huge betrayal on top of everything I was already going through she was a girl that if you needed anything she was there if she saw a stranger struggling she’d go help them without them asking which is why her betrayal hurt me so much she told people lies to try to make me look bad I didn’t even do anything she was being judged for something she did so she wanted people to think I deserved to be judged too or at the very least punished in my community back when I was a church person another friend I had passed away and I see her name everywhere and I miss her dearly however when she was alive we had a fight that betrayal made me sick to my stomach but before she died we apologized to each other but I could not stay her friend she was not a consistent good friend do you ever have that were your friends are only good to you sometimes? I have another friend that wrote me a letter saying that she wanted me to be her bridesmaid that I was like her sister and so I was absolutely terrified after some time had past to reach out but I did and she never replied back not even till this day it really hurt me I thought we were the type of friends that wouldn’t be effected by time but I guess the expiration date came for our friendship this is why I have a strong fear to reach out to friends that I don’t hear from anymore because I’m too scared to accept the friendship is over it’s transient so I just don’t reach out to people if time passes by it’s that fear to text a friend only for you to realize they didn’t care enough to tell you they were changing their number I cannot face that hurt again and sometimes I message friends it takes them weeks to reply some years and it makes me feel disconnected but I welcome them anytime to me I will always reply however this year I started making friends on this app and I am terrified to make effort to wait for replies and I usually wait till those friends talk to me first and it’s so hard to make effort not knowing how long the friendship or even the people I chat with on here will last and it hurts so much but that was the message I got one word about the reality of things transient even in those not so stable or good friendships I hold fond memories of what was and it hurts me so much how they chose to hurt me and I chose to be a good friend I chose to trust them forgive them and still they chose to hurt me or forget me and this is hard for an esfj and 9w1 since the core of my enneagram and my core needs is harmony friendships and lasting connections and community 💔 😔😔😔 however I must cherish the friendships or chats even if they are ephemeral and that’s been a challenge and hard reality to face as someone that truly means it when I say we are friends till the end I also am sad thinking is the only more lasting friend in my life really only going to be in a romantic relationship? that hurts me more than I can say or accept but maybe I have to face this transient nature of friendships 💖💖💖🪽🪽🪽

lately I’ve been hearing the word by spirit whispering transient transient I know it is spirit bcuz I don’t often use these words in my vocabulary

Got another one

Nobody really seems to tell you growing up, that you have a relationship with yourself or that you need to be a friend to yourself before others. But yeah, so much loneliness and desperation is cured with a journal and some radical self love. I don't mean Elsa's version, where her writers actually meant to replace romantic love with self love. Like I don't believe in replacing other people. But I do believe that loving others requires a BFF connection with yourself first, if you don't want to accidentally replace yourself with others, in a way that always means going unsatisfied. Because you can't replace yourself with someone else, when you still happen to need yourself and your own attention.

Cure for Desperation

Excited to start this self-help journal tonight and use my new cute pens too. I also use a self-care app called Finch.

There are different types of journaling, most common is recording feelings. I'm not comfortable with this one, as it can cause anxiety if you dwell on them. 

Aside from this, you can buy really nice notebooks and pens for less than $5.00 at Dollar Tree. Simple things like this practice can enrich your life! 🍒

I just started writing again recently and have found myself kinda wanting to do it more. So I started journaling or keeping a diary. But I can’t seem to find anything worthwhile to write about consistently on a daily basis. Any advice?
