What's your favorite medium & why?

Basic ballpoint pen (black) and paper here. Largely due to it being where I've spent the most time in by far, I don't know if any medium will top the hours I've racked up sketching in school notebooks or journals. D&D pleaseeee

Argghh how I wish I could actually complete a campaign with my mates, all having kids and doing the life things its so hard to catch up all at once now! These journals would be so amazing for a long haul!
