For inmates who serve life in prison lets change the system basically Hunger Games for prisoners, this would only be for prisoners who really do deserve to die, this would be better then them spending tax payers money, and they get a chance to go to Valhalla, If the prisoner wins the game they should get a living upgrade maybe better food.

This was already kinda done during the 80s? I think? but basically it was that the prisoners came up with every single rule in the prison, apart from whether they were allowed to leave. It got... pretty violent, and was abandoned pretty quickly because of it. More seriously with this proposal, there are so many ethical issues - how do you determine whether someone *deserves* to be put through that hell, would you truly force people to kill, etc - and this would not spend less tax money, at all. Prisoners take a huge amount of tax money as it is (fun fact! the legal costs to put one person to death are more than the costs to house and feed them for the entirety of their lifetime!) but this would only cost more. But hey, we might get to see a real-life Katniss Everdeen arise and topple the government that put such a system in place, so that'd be fun!
