I just want to talk about her for a minute. This is one of my many lionesses, Baya. I made her back in 2009/2010 for a roleplay group on DeviantART called United Prides. I did not use her nearly as much as I intended but she still made a lasting impression on people because I had a bunch of people in the out of character chat crying when I had to kill her off because I left the group (the first time). Anyhow, she was intended to be a gruff, no nonsense lionesses with the ambition of taking over the pride I submitted her to but she wasn't chosen as a leader so she ended up becoming friends with the lioness who was chosen as queen. To gain the Queen's trust, Baya was ordered to have kids. So, begrudgingly she had kids. She was not happy to be a mom and was kind of a jerk to her only surviving son but he kinda thawed her heart and made her enjoy being a mom. At some point, she devoted feelings for her queen but her queen had gone coocoo and thought Baya was plotting against her so she killed her (killing Baya was my exit, I've since rewritten her history to imply she died but didn't actually). Now, since I haven't used her in many years, I expanded her history to have some pretty horrendous stuff happen to her but now she just kinda roams and has a small "pride" of "children" (lionesses she's helped out that just happen to hang around still) and her own kids/any she's adopted that hang around. This is her most recent ref. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Originally she was made on a doll maker but has had a big palette change since then.
