the Mastermind principle
The idea of a mastermind has been around for 1000’s of years. The author Napoleon Hill describes it as the coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people who work towards a definite purpose in a spirit of harmony No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a "third mind”, also known as, the Mastermind.

Napolean Hill believed in sharing your experience and knowledge with each other. "No mind is complete by itself. It needs contact and association with other minds to grow and expand.” He recommended forming mastermind groups, or groups of successful people in similar industries with similar goals. The idea of a mastermind is to meet regularly to discuss your personal and business challenges, then brainstorm solutions together as a group. That process helps every member grow and gain insight.

I've studied this at a cursory level, & am interested in the phenomenon. But there's also a countervailing process you sometimes run into, where you mix the wrong people together & everyone just becomes less creative, or in some cases less willing to voice their opinions. (edited)
