Some guys need a bonk on the head or a slap upside the head. 

If you reach out and send a message to a lady... and she takes the time to respond kindly and in earnest as in polite greeting, good manners, asks you how you are, and not one word answers...

RESPOND IN KIND! 

This is not the time to respond back all nonchalant as if you are too cool or too busy in life, or have one too many messages to reply to. One sentence phrase. I mean, phrase, as in no asking questions back or any inquiries to keep the conversation going. I mean, why did you reach out and message in the first place? To communicate, right?

Do men know how to read cues? Do you guys treat one word female responses the same as when a lady replies back decently, seemingly writes sentences and asks questions pertaining to you? 

Learn to decipher. Learn to differentiate.

I read about men commiserating about not get quality responses or lack of female responding... and I didn't quite understand... 

Now it's no wonder! Women probably got tired of having to carry a decent basic conversation. You got dropped.

Serious question: Do men really not know how to carry a conversation with a woman? Do you need examples? 

Maybe I will consider making a series out of this and continue with some examples if that is what the commenters want.

But no. That guy? He’s fictional. He’s a script, a paragraph, a character on a screen. He’s not in my messages. He’s not at the grocery store. He’s not anywhere close to reality.
