So I always wondered if I should put polyamory or monogamy on my dating profile. I am polyamorous however I'm currently single and have been for a while. While I am polyamorous I'm open to monogamous relationship as well. I don't need a whole bunch of Partners to be happy. I don't want to be automatically counted out by those looking for monogamous relationships because I put polyamorous on my profile. So currently I have monogamous on there but I add the note at the bottom of my introduction that I am ENM friendly. Most polyamorous people know (hopefully) that it means that I am open to ethical non-monogamy and I'm open to dating polyamorous people.

Do you think this is the best approach? If someone you connected with had this stance would you still want to date them? 

Another note: I have very close friendships with people of the opposite sex. One thing that scares me about monogamy is this toxic idea I have seen around that you can't have friends of an opposite gender. This is why I lean towards polyamory because I want to avoid people that do the "it's me or your friends" argument.
