Speaking from experience. My ex was doing her masters thesis so I payed all the rent, cooked for her, made her afternoon tea, took her to dates to relax, made sure she can concentrate on the thesis she loved so much, gave her small gifts and encouragements (like placed a small chocolate or candybar next to her papers before I went to work with an encouraging text) and many more small acts of kindnesses. And then during a christmas date she dumped me with no real explanation :3 
I suppose I should've at least cheated on her and then gaslighted and beat her up every now and then to make myself "more exciting" to women.

And so, he walks on — a man who still has miles to go, battle-scarred but upright. He does not beg for love anymore. He does not ask to be understood. But deep inside, beneath the layers of bitterness and burned-out hope, there still flickers a truth:

He never stopped loving deeply.
He just stopped believing he ever would be loved that way in return.

Kindness don't get you loved, it gets you used.

Marriage advice

You are always communicating in a relationship. Not just with your words but with your silence and your actions. If you want a healthy relationship you have to learn good communication skills. This isn't an option and excuses will not work. If you're serious about being with someone then put in the work to learn the skills.

If you don't know how then find someone that does and ask them to teach you but ultimately your personal growth is your responsibility. Carpe diem baby!

I used to think loyalty meant holding on no matter what. That if you loved someone enough, staying would eventually heal the cracks. I gave my loyalty fully — not because I was blind, but because I believed in us. I believed in them. In the promise. In the quiet bond we built.

But sometimes, loyalty becomes a weight when it's not met halfway. I stayed through silence, confusion, and moments that felt like emotional droughts… because I thought love meant endurance. I thought commitment would be enough.

It wasn’t.

What I’ve come to realize is that loyalty is a beautiful thing — but it can’t survive in a one-sided space. It needs trust. It needs respect. It needs presence. Otherwise, it becomes self-betrayal masked as devotion.

Still, I’m not ashamed of the way I loved. If anything, I’m proud. I remained loyal not out of fear, but out of deep care. I didn’t walk away too early. I stayed long enough to know I tried. To know I loved honestly.

Loyalty isn’t a flaw. It’s a gift — one I now know to give only where it’s returned. And next time, I’ll still love deeply. But I’ll also remember that loyalty should never cost me myself.
