Sisyphus teaches us the fidelity that raises rocks and negates Gods. The universe, without a master, is neither sterile nor fertile, and he too concludes that all is well. The struggle towards the heavens is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy. -an abridged quotation… read more
Ever heard of Gold Medal Depression? Ever climbed a mountain and experience the uphill as much more engaging than going back downhill? Humans are built for struggle. To strive towards a goal. Once you reach a goal, you will want another to look forward to. "I want", not "I have" is the driver of… read more

I'm going to say the obvious thing here - this really should not have been scrapped for tax reasons. Kinda wish they would release the other movie Warner Bros and HBO did that to, Batgirl, but it's extremely unlikely that will occur. Good movie, very funny, touching ending. Just one thing -… read more
Are dirty dishes the modern day equivalent of Sisyphus and the boulder? 🤣
But Make it Spreadsheet

Personally I enjoy the myth of Sisyphus. Favorite part is how Thanatos (the literal god of death) wouldn't go back to kill him until he was old and bed ridden.
I think image of a man writing to women on dating sites should be new and more accurate representation of Sisyphus work
Progress 🌝

In Greek mythology, Sisyphus is a king cursed by Hades to push a bolder up a mountain, only to have it roll back down the hill the moment before it reaches the top. In life, Sisyphus is a metaphor about the dangers of hubris, and an examination of the futility of attempting to achieve the… read more
Sisyphus frowns- the boulder does not mind nor does the hill (edited)

I've officially been sucked into the world of Kdramas lol. My current list: 1. Squid Game 2. My name 3. Alice in Borderland (not a Kdrama, but still pretty good). 4. Sisyphus: The Myth 5. Hellbound 6. Sweet Home (currently watching) Anymore suggestions? I am a sucker for gore and dystopias. (edited)
In my quest for meaning in a world that seems to lack any real purpose, I came face-to-face with the absurdity of my existence, struggling to make sense of it all, knowing deep down that there might not be a clear answer. So, what do I do? Do I throw my hands up and give in to the chaos, or do I… read more
The curse of Sisyphus is to spend eternity doing something meaningless, something you can't change, but you have to keep doing it day after day. This is what Camus meant by "absurdity." When all the end is to die, what is the meaning of our life?Camus has given the answer, there's no meaning, to… (edited) read more
Humanity, a Sisyphus in our time, We struggle on with little hope in sight, Pushing up the boulder of life's climb, Only to watch it roll back down each night. Sisyphus was a disdainful king who was punished by the gods. The arduous task imposed on him was to push a huge boulder down the side of a mountain. When the boulder reached the top, it fell down the slope again, and Sisyphus could do nothing to prevent it. Again and again the same thing happened,… read more

How do you cope with failing an exam? Especially in university when the stakes are high..? Like I feel like sisyphus always trying and never succeeding and not meant to be doing what I want to do... "We must imagine Sisyphus happy." (Albert Camus)

existentialism It is the belief that through a combination of consciousness, free will, and personal responsibility, one can construct one's own meaning within a world that is intrinsically meaningless. Like you're missing something from your life. Sort of like this feeling of inescapable dread that follows everywhere you go and keeps pushing doubts in front of the things you enjoy doing or getting better at. I've been reading yaoi for several years. And it gets bigger and bigger... The largest consumer of yaoi is female.... So the size is for female's eyes.... Hmmmm Damn

This drama has an intriguing storyline!! Watch it!
I have taken great comfort in this particular philosophy. Albert Camus's essay "Myth of Sisyphus" has really solidified my outlook on life. It's like he is giving you a lecture and is arguing with you to not commit suicide. He speaks of other philosophers and their ideas merits. But he also… read more

“The workman of today, works every day in his life at the same tasks, and this fate is no less absurd than Sisyphus's" -Camus We wake up, we toil, we sleep; we wake up, we toil, we sleep; we push the boulder up, it rolls back down, we start again. And this cyclical mundanity points to the… read more

Its easy to feel like Sisyphus, endlessly rolling the same boulder up the same hill. But its worth remembering that Sisyphus was happy with each step and celebrated everytime he reached the peak, even if the boulder rolled back down a moment later.
