Has anyone played Cyberpunk RED? I have heard the creator of the series talk about it briefly. Is it a buildable world like Dnd or is it campaign focused?

Just got this from a kickstarter. Will I ever play? Only time will tell as my friends tend to prefer fantasy.

I thought the colour gold would mix well but it just sank to one side.

I love my purple vampire dice but my hunger gold dice feels... rushes.

I need this villain or someone to play this in a group with me at the table 😅

I've been reading about monster of the week system lately. Seems fun and appropriate to the season;) The classes there are amusing monster hunting series cliches, like "the chosen one", or "the spooky one" and so on. 

Sketched an idea for a quest:
In a small rural town people begin to disappear. Sheriff tries to find clues, while some of the local superstitious folk blame the events on the "haunted house" attraction that rolled into town a few days ago (since it's almost Halloween). One of your team stumbles upon an article of a reporter, which claims that there is nothing haunted about that house and she will save the sheriff's department "some precious time" by proving it's only a hoax. 

So what do you think? Are you packing your monster hunting gear already?;)

I find that im more of a barbarian or the people who just want to hit things and put 0 effort in using brain activities. And people in the group are like here is the lore, i think is related to the theme. 

Is that meta-gaming or have you decipher the entire plot of the story? 


My mental state is like a jock in Drama class with Main Character energy and Zero prep. 

Man the amount of dialogue someone can spit, I envy them. I wish my daily dialogue to myself could be the same as in character.

I like D&D and I think im not geeky enough on the lore.

I'm a new GM and I'm trying to run a multi system game using GURPS 😅
So I've been playing d&d for a couple years now and it's great. But I recently came to the conclusion I wanted to run my own campaign. Ok, so that's a lot of work and planning to balance with every day life and other things I'm trying to do. Now, let's say I want to make it more difficult for myself and try to roll multiple game systems into one- D&D, Shadowrun/ Cyberpunk, Vampire the Masquerade, etc. Also, throw in some missions related to Alice in Wonderland, The Labyrinth, BioShock/Evil Within 2, maybe Silent Hill. I was considering Severance, but that would probably require me to play with two separate groups so players were unaware of what they are doing when it's their alternate selves.
The only logical answer is to use GURPS, which I've never played before, so myself and my players will be learning together. 

So, as a new GM, speed anyone have any ideas how I could make this easier on myself? I am having trouble with map creation, but luckily it's starting to seem somewhat more likely that we will be playing in person. 
Also, if we're connecting multiple systems, what would be the best way to balance the gameplay? Or maybe it's (unfortunately) best to just do a bunch of oneshots... I was wanting to have a connected story between them.

The biggest focal point and mechanical lever for dungeon delving style games is resource management. What tabletop RPG system do you think is best suited for dungeon delving and why?

Best System for Dungeon Delving

Personally, I love any system that lets me be expressive in a characters mechanics, especially without needing to design those mechanics myself. So while I like games sytems like Cortex or Fate, they are not my favorite.

I been vibing with pf2e/sf2e; but def want something different to look at. Though they would answer my own question here.

Whats your favorite non-D&D system?

Played cyberpunk red for the first time today. It gave a lot more of a "you're in it" vibe than d&d has for the past bit. But maybe that's because I usually DM.

I made a custom ttrpg system and campaign, and I can't find players to use it 😭
Its all set up on a desmos graph for easy understanding. But its made so that the players don't have to struggle.

Ughhhh how does one start.

I really want to run like a Delta Green one-shot based on this. Be pure comical but also creepy in a way.

One-shot idea

Although I do prefer Apocalypse, Forsaken is also really close to my heart as my second favorite Splat in The Chronicles of Darkness.

I find the spiritual aspect of this game to be very unique and horrifying which is a good thing because this is a horror game.

In any case I do highly recommend Werewolf The Forsaken whether it be first or second edition

Power Rangers RPG

Do you play solitaire TTRPG?
Since finding a group for the game you want might be hard, I recently turned into solo gaming. Right now, I am using Elemental system and Mythic GM Emulator for my solitaire games.

I tend to play horror famed with super dark stories, but... I need some good vibes. So, I decided to go with a sword and sourcery adventure today.

There is a monster who shows up where the disaster is, and tries to warn people. It's following an army of mages for some time. Unfortunately the portal left by ancient civilization is broken and the army is on halt. Nearby to the village my character visits. And, of course, the monster too.

People in the village is full of superstitions, and does not how what's actually happening. Neither the hero. Investigation, political maneuvers, finding the best solution for every side... Hard, surprising, full of fun!

Note: Book of Travels has a very nice OST. I highly recommend.

Solitaire TTRPG

Just joined a new Friday group on Roll 20 that plays Star Wars Saga Edition, seems fun so far. Session 1 went well, everyone showed up, etc. Looking forward to next time. I am playing a Zabrak soldier with some martial arts and brawler abilities. Didn't really do anything with that initially but still a fun start.

Its has been 10 days since anyone seen the light from the son. 

Cellular communication died 5 days after. In chalet, hiding from Them, are 4 strangers who had each other company. 

Sonik, a blue haired hairdresser. She won her corporate lottery, a weekend resort stay for 2. She thought it would be a treat to bring her boyfriend, Dash. Just before their trip, Dash couldn't join as he needed to attend his reservist. 

Besides her was Steven, an Airport Security, Austin, Peter Groomer and Nasim, a resort staff. 

Rations are getting sacred and all they had are a packet of cracker and a can of Peaches. Sonik was not impressed that the resort did not stock essential. Or they have gone through as much rationed for the past 5-10 days. 

They heard a thunderous sound as though an object had slammed against a wall. Steven and Nasim went to investigate the sound.
