I am finally on red belt just balck tip left then I’m a black belt it’s going to be very difficult and I’m going to have to step out of my comfort zone but it’s ok it will all be worth it once I am a black belt but that doesn’t mean I’m don’t with taekwondo

Sò finalmente nantu à u cinturione rossu, solu un puntellu neru manca è dopu sò un cinturione neru. Sarà assai difficiule è aghju da esce da a mo zona di cunfortu, ma va bè, tuttu valerà a pena una volta chì sò un cinturione neru, ma questu ùn significa micca chì sò finitu cù u taekwondo.

At my school, black belt promotions require what they call credit tests. The number of credit tests you need to promote to the next Dan level is equal to whatever your current Dan level is. As a 1st Dan myself, I need to do 1 credit test before I can go up for 2nd. My opportunity was yesterday and, for lack of a better word, I completely blew it. I started doing the first of 3 forms and completely forgot how to do it less than 4 steps in. Then I was unable to get my board break to work. Practically killed myself out there and couldnt even manage to get a check in the box. Makes me question if I even deserve to be a 1st Dan to begin with

À a mo scola, e promozioni di cintura nera richiedenu ciò chì chjamanu esami di creditu. U numeru di esami di creditu chì avete bisognu per prumove à u prossimu livellu di Dan hè uguale à ciò chì hè u vostru attuale livellu di Dan. Cum'è un 1st Dan, aghju bisognu di fà 1 esame di creditu prima di pudè andà per u 2nd. A mo opportunità era ieru è, per mancanza di una parola megliu, l'aghju completamente sfracicata. Aghju cuminciatu à fà u primu di 3 forme è aghju completamente scurdatu cumu fà quellu menu di 4 passi. Dopu ùn sò micca statu capace di fà funziunà a mo rottura di tavulinu. Praticamente m'hà ammazzatu quì fora è ùn pudia mancu gestisce à ottene un segnu in a scatula. Mi face dumandà s'ellu meritu ancu di esse un 1st Dan per cumincià.

In a little under 2 months, I go in front of the Masters to test for 2nd Dan. And I'm terrified. I don't think I'm in good enough shape, I don't think my forms are good enough, I don't think my kicks are high enough or strong enough.

Most days I even question if I deserve to be 1st Dan at all.

Crisis of confidence

In un pocu menu di 2 mesi, v'aghju da andà davanti à i Maestri per testà per u 2nd Dan. È sò terrorizatu. Pensu chì ùn sò micca in una bona forma, pensu chì e mo forme ùn sò micca abbastanza boni, pensu chì i mo calci ùn sò micca abbastanza alti o abbastanza forti.

A maiò parte di i ghjorni mi dumandu ancu s'ellu meritu di esse 1st Dan.

Crisi di fiducia

I've just learnt wong- yo tul. And I think I'm in love. I really enjoyed Do- San tul and got gold for it during my first tournament in Jan 💗

Aghju appena amparatu wong- yo tul. È pensu chì sò innamuratu. Mi hè piaciutu veramente Do- San tul è aghju ottinutu l'oru per quessa durante u mo primu torneu in ghjennaghju 💗
