What's that one anime you really wanted to like, but never could?

I think everyone has that one anime that either they caught on TV, or had a friend suggest to them time and time again, but just for some reason or another, couldn't really get into. I've actually got two. The first being Cowboy Bebop. Back when my brother used to collect anime boxsets, he picked it up shortly after seeing the movie in theaters, and loved it. I tried to get into it, but despite being technically perfect, I found myself unable to sit through an entire episode in one go. I don't know what it is, but I just found myself oddly disinterested in a space opera western, despite liking both space operas and westerns. The other is Full Metal Alchemist. My best friend suggested it, I sat through it with him a few times, and I just wasn't super into it. I only finished it because we were hanging out, and he wanted to watch it. I once made the mistake of telling him what I thought about it, and upon finding out it was his favourite show ever, I said, "maybe one more watching will change my mind". So we watched all 52 episodes. Four times. My mind did not change.
