Why do most girls like Studio Ghibli when it comes to Anime?
Im a huge anime fan but never got into studio Ghibli. Why do most girls who like anime say this is their favourite?

I don't know if it's just girls, most guys I've talked to that like anime also love Studio Ghibli. The animation is very beautiful, the stories are usually heartwarming and their pacing is not too fast nor too slow. It's enjoyable but not too hard to follow. There's interesting and colorful characters. But most of all at least for me it gives a calm and wholesome feeling, probably has to do with the type of animation + frequent themes of friendship By the way I'm not that much into anime, only seen a few shows like death note and another one, but the studio ghibli movies I've watched were very beautiful and memorable. Yeah not sure about "most girls" but comparing anything from ghibli to a action or drama anime is doing both a disservice. Studio ghibli are really beating their own drums and have taken aggressive stances on things like flawed characters, appreciating the beauty and peace of small things, slowing down when you can. Etc. Even guys can enjoy a break. But i understand if you aren't a fan. I recently got my biker buddy to watch a couple and he is a fan now too. He doesn't watch anime or anything but his words were "i feel calm. All the cuts to rivers and fields and all the characters acting kind of normal was calming"

Just re-watched berserk(1997)
Well berserk is just a masterpiece, a cult classic. The re-watch made me realize how good the direction was in 90's, the colour grading was at par. What fo you think avout berserk 1997, tbh i like the manga better but yeah anime do deserve an applause.
