7It's actually pretty reasonable when you think about it. If I don't care about someone then it's going to be a lot harder for them to actually hurt me but if I deeply care about someone they could crush me with but a word. Love is about vulnerability and vulnerability WILL get you hurt. That's part of what we sacrifice for love and why it's so magical to find folks that we can be both vulnerable and safe around.
