Mostly Criterion because I hate my bank account. Trying to have a nice collection of Bunuel, Jodorowsky, and Del Toro films. Always looking for recs when the next half of sale happens at Barnes and Noble.
You are in the Criterion Closet, what are your top 5 films to pick?
With max Sacrimental Offerings to boot for extra difficulty. Just in time for the new Criterion dungeon.
It's been almost 10 years now that I keep hearing people (men especially) complain that sex and relationships are difficult and that they wish a Hentai world existed. A world in which nudism and sex would be normal everyday social interactions like a handshake for example. In this world, every… read more
Sometimes we will have periods of lack, but this lack cannot lower our standards, that is, we must not let the lack destroy our criterion. We can't be clueless and go around deciding things out of necessity, out of urgency. Evil will always put offers in your path so that you don't reach your… read more
Without a doubt, one of the best Criterion releases.
Finally; a box set worthy of sitting on the shelf next to all the Criterion films.

Not a bad set for coming across it entirely by accident and finding it on sale for 50%
Because I just recommended it elsewhere, I recommend it again.
To the surprise of no one, Criterion is still unmatched in presentation. As for Three / Three… Extremes, they’re two of the best horror anthologies out of any country.
If you have an account at your local public library, check to see if they have a Kanopy subscription (https://kanopy.com). It's a free movie service that has loads of great content (Criterion collection, foreign films, classics, documentaries, etc.)
I'm the kind of person that can cut a fine swath through the Criterion Collection, and, an hour later, be marathon'ing Full Moon Feature films. Tonight's plan: THE WHOLE GODDAMN SUBSPECIES SERIES, followed by Evil Bong (also the whole series).
What are you looking forwards to in terms of announcements? Personally I have fingers crossed about information about housing item limit increases and any new Criterion Dungeons!
Sometimes it pays to dig through the “bargain” bin that is eBay. Contains both the 1946 and 1964 versions on a single bluray.
Shelley is savage lol This is on Criterion. She’s so good.
If you ever think your life doesn't make sense, consider that someone had to add 2001's "Josie and the Pussycats" to The Criterion Collection streaming network.
It was an acquired taste; I never cared for it years ago, but it’s grown on me. I *loved* the marketing behind it, though. Definitely trailblazing. You just “had to be there.” I am an unashamed lover of found footage horror, as a subgenre. Shocked me when I found it on Criterion Channel. (edited)
Tell me your favorite criterion collection films you own :)
If you like goofy Kung Fu, do yourself a favor and watch it. It's streaming on Criterion.
Regardless that we are more developed than other living creatures, humans, to this day, are unable to distinguish themselves even if the truth is clear... I just wanted to put some important points because we, as humans, tend toward everything that is beautiful and strive to be more beautiful,… read more
