Waiting to pick my girlfriend up after work... why does the radio play the same 5 songs?

Like I swear I heard this song this time yesterday... damn BBC Radio 1 Dance! 😂 By the time I've chosen something from my playlist, I'll be back on my way 😅

BBC Uranus ⛴️⚓

I wonder if the crew knows the joke here? 🤔🤣

I've been so emotional since yesterday because of this one of a kind man. The tributes were all majestic and fitting for the unconditional love that he has for our beautiful pale blue dot. 🥹🙌🏼🥳🎉 Many happy returns again to one of my favorite people, Sir David Attenborough!🫡

Remember that time Rage Against the Machine appeared on the BBC one Christmas morning?

People who remember… “we asked them not to do it, but they did it anyways” 😂😂😂😂

Why do you find the weirdest things on telly while flicking...

Started flicking and found a program about a guy who stalked upwards of 80 to a hundred woman (sometimes a good few at the same time), in a small town in Scotland (on BBC three) and it is pretty interesting but scary the lengths he went, just ain't normal...

Interested in TV series about insanely smart yet rude MC

What's your favorite so far and why? No spoilers for the mentalist please I'm still in season 3

Anyone else watching *Lord of the Flies* on BBC?

Judge dread

Lyrics full of double entendres and sexual innuendo that it caused the BBC to ban his songs from playing on the waves

Mieczysław Karłowicz

On this day of 1909, Polish composer Mieczysław Karłowicz died at the age of 32 in an avalanche while skiing on an excursion in the Tatra Mountains. Here is a record, a compilation of his orchestral works, that introduces his musical style. Yan Pascal Tortelier conducts the BBC PO.

Life as a TV & Film Extra

Black Magic?

@A_R_A A real BBC report from 1964! The black and white film stock makes things spookier, IMO.

BBC.

White women that have tried BBC, did you like it?

Curious what white women think of BBC and how many on here have tried and are hooked or are curious to try at some point in life?

I cannot stop playing this riff. I know many of you will recognize it from a certain BBC show.

The Chronicles of Narnia (BBC)

Another lovely series from my childhood, I always got excited when I saw it on. PBS aired this to the US. The first time I watched it I can recall the feeling of mystery I got. “Wow! WHAT IS THIS!” Who didn’t want to find a mysterious portal to another world. … I’m still looking. ☺️

Shows That You Rewatch

Random question.. What are series that you've watched multiple times and can still watch many times more? Mine would be, in no particular order: - The Chosen - Sherlock (BBC) - How I Met Your Mother - Hospital Playlist - Another Oh Hae Young - Spy x Family - Cells at Work: Code Black - Avatar The… (edited) read more

In case any fellow history and archeology geeks needed something uplifting...and passing on some info.

*They've discovered Egypt's lost city of Aten. The Travel has a very interesting article on their web page about it. I highly recommend this one. 👌 *Phys.org has a similarly interesting article about an excavation at a Roman site in rural britain involving anabandoned mausoleum, 15 kilograms of… (edited) read more

I kinda like more this BBC News

Live from London This is BBC News I dunno what is real anymoreeee🤣

Free will and superdetermenism. In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least it is true that man has no control, even over his own will. — Berserk

Reading time: 5 to 7 minutes. > Superdeterminism Experiments violating Bell's inequalities force scientists to abandon one of two fundamental principles: realism (the belief that objects have definite, inherent properties beyond observation) and locality (the idea that things affect each other… (edited) read more

Are You Being Served? (BBC)

Another show that was broadcasted to the US on PBS. Grew up watching this one too. It was HILARIOUS. And that theme song is a bop.

What are your favorite ships??

I'm talking about the fandom variety, not the kind that sail on the ocean! xD Recently, I've been into Aaravos/Viren (The Dragon Prince), though I haven't yet found any fics I *truly* love. Aside from that, my ol' standby OTP is, without a doubt, Batman/Joker. I've also gone through periods of… (edited) read more

India to overtake China in 2023 and become the world's most populous country

By this November, the planet will be home to 8 billion people. But population growth is not as rapid as it used to be. It is now at its slowest rate since 1950 and is set to peak, says the UN, around the 2080s at about 10.4bn though some demographers believe that could happen even sooner. But… read more
