How do you meet people in the enm community?

Im really shy in person. Im trying to find a female friend for my wife If it goes well, maybe more than friends

Does anyone feel like enm people have gotten a bad rap lately and its made it harder making new connections?

I am just curious if there are an “regular” gay or bi men interested in ENM?

From my experience, in person, and online, the ENM people I meet aren’t just occasional 1 or 2 partners here and there. It’s a massive black hole of polyamorous neurodivergent people that I do not relate to whatsoever. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I’ve noticed there’s been a growing acceptance of polyamory, along with plenty of dating app options to match—but polygamy rarely even gets a checkbox.

Reality TV has shaped a pretty narrow and often misleading picture of what polygamy looks like. At its core, polygamy isn’t about casual or disconnected relationships; it’s about marriage and intentionally building a single family unit, made up of many interconnected relationships.

It’s not about hierarchy or one partner holding power over the others. It’s about mutual respect, shared responsibility, and growing something together as equals.

I've noticed that there seems to be an expectation that men who are looking for a MFF relationship think that maybe all single women interested in enm are looking for that same dynamic.

So I was just curious. Does it happen often to you guys that you get matched with people (generally singles) looking for long term relationships but for whatever reason overlooks the fact that you already have a partner? 

From my experience these girls usually gets very jealous very quickly even thought i put all the cards on the table from the start. It has brought me more grief than joy so to speak 😁

How does everyone find partners outside of the main nesting partner? 

I've been in an ENM relationship for 6 years and in all that time I've only had 1 other partner (at the very beginning), I seem to get alot of "I can't do that to your girlfriend" or a simple "sorry I didn't read your profile". I am a very outgoing and chatty guy who is happy to do almost any activity but I just cannot seem to find people who are interest. 

Any advice for a helpless guy? 😅 

Ps. I am on various dating apps as longside Feeld too - but most people I match with either do not want to have a conversation or no matter how hard I try to keep a conversation flowing or arrange to meet the messages then fizzle out.

whats the point in dating apps

What's the meaning of putting "relationship type" preference, when most of population here refused to read bio(?) Got many requests from ENM; Open Relationship; Polyamory people even though I clearly put Monogamous as my preference.
