New to Boo

I've been seeing a disturbing trend of couples specifically hunting for a third that describe themselves as poly, and this is saddening.
No one should be looking for a disposable person to add spice to their partnership, that's not polyamory.
Similarly, limiting your partners choices while having free reign yourself is not poly, that's just insecurity and control.

We need to call these toxic behalf calling themselves poly out, because that's the image that gets passed on to others, and why there's so much misunderstanding of compersion and the joy of loving someone enough to free them.

I've always been monogamous. Never cheated, never glanced the other way. Fast forward to the end of my last relationship and a year of being single, I decided to start dipping my toes back into the pool.

I'm now seeing one poly girl regular and things are going great, totally fine with her situation and the freedom it offers me. More dates lined up with another soon, and even an ex from 20 years ago chatting with me.

I'm not gloating or bragging. (Though I do consider myself pretty lucky) But how come suddenly, I'm getting all this attention? Has it been so long since I've been dating that things have changed?

It could have something to do with working on myself sure. It could be with my newfound confidence. But I'm wondering what other people might make of it.

So, is this normal?

Just a little vent. 
I am new to the poly life. I have been monogamous my whole life. So I knew jealousy may be a struggle but so far it isn't. However no one warned me about the potential guilt I could feel. Like I'm doing something horribly wrong even though I am soooooo happy. I was told to start journaling about my guilty feelings to try and find what is causing them and maybe rewire my brain I guess haha.

When the guilt is stronger than jealousy.

Damn I haven’t been on this app a whole month yet but I been seeing a lot and I mean A LOT of poly folks on here. Not shaming at all but more surprised at how open y’all are.

Why do a lot of polymen only allow other women in the relationship? Isn't poly love for all genders?

My very best friend has been in a relationship for about a year. Her boyfriend told her today that he needs another girlfriend or he will get bored, he doesn't want her to see anyone else though. He explained this is typical for Poly or ENM relationships. Can someone help me understand? Because something in the water just isn't wet here in my opinion.
