Look what I found
Yesterday I went on a tour of the second oldest purpose built lodge building in England and I found this stuffed into a corner and no one knew it was there.

FREE THINKERS
Tonight it was seen how the spread of information often leads to an easy and quick narrative that is immediately accessible and, satisfying, is not analyzed with a critical spirit. Young people far too often adapt, conform, and standardize, giving up their own Freedom. Personally, I believe that… (edited) read more

Oh wow
As a lowly no one, I never attend any national ceremonies, I can't afford them, today I have been invited as a personal guest to the next Mark Masters Grand Lodge in London by one of the highest ranking officers, that means I'll be dining on the top table, robing in the VIP room, and drinking in a… read more
Working tools
A little bit for our daily advancement, during my usual studies I found this, the worlds oldest pencil, from the 1600s, it was used by a carpenter but masons would have used identical ones.

Toast to the visitors
A short toast I gave last night as JW: This is the point in the night I normally talk about how wonderful it is to have so many visitors... and I'm still going to. My masonic birthday
Thursday was the 18th anniversary of me joining the Hazelgrove 6542 in the province of Yorkshire NER. Another 18 months and I'll be masters of Eboracum 1611 so I'll be visiting my mother lodge as the Master of my current lodge to celebrate 20 years in masonry.

The Empty Table
Many lodges across Massachusetts, and I suspect other jurisdictions, have an empty table set up, some permanently, if space permits, to remember our Brethren and other service members who never came home. (edited)

Military lodge
I have just been to my first Military lodge and I am pie eyed. Multiple pints of beer and many shots of port but it was one hell of a night... double passing. I nearly became one of the tutters but it was still enjoyable. (edited)
