I think most likely getting a match or like is a dopamine hit that people intend to like more than talking to people. The hit would be just enough to see them through for half a day or whatever. Kind of understanding the changes to how people have adapted/changed. Makes me wonder how the off grid people are doing

As long as we break the cycle or addiction because each new day is an opportunity to be better. I figured this out and I too was taken aback. However personally I do it for the love and not the likes 😊

I hate that you're probably right. Got propositioned by someone off the grid recently. I did talk to her for like a day but after that I decided that there was no way I would ever be able to live off the grid.
