The Day My Dad Got Crabs

Once upon a time, in a small seaside town, lived a little boy named Timmy and his dad, Mr. Johnson. They loved spending their days by the beach, building sandcastles, and catching fish. One day, Mr. Johnson came home with a strange tale to tell. "Dad, you look worried," said Timmy, noticing his father's furrowed brow. "Well, Timmy," Mr. Johnson began, "I've got crabs." Timmy's eyes widened. "Crabs? Like the ones we catch at the beach?" "Not exactly, son," Mr. Johnson replied, trying to suppress a chuckle. "These are a different kind of crabs." Timmy was puzzled. He'd seen many types of crabs - big ones, small ones, even ones with one claw bigger than the other. But he'd never heard of his dad's crabs. "Can I see them?" Timmy asked, curiosity piqued. Mr. Johnson laughed heartily. "No, Timmy. These crabs are very shy. They don't like to be seen." "Where did you catch them, Dad?" Timmy asked, his mind filled with images of his dad wrestling with giant crabs. "Well, son," Mr. Johnson said, scratching his head, "it's a funny story. You see, sometimes adults go to special places where they can catch these crabs." "Like a secret crab-catching club?" Timmy asked, eyes wide with wonder. "Something like that, Timmy," Mr. Johnson replied, chuckling at his son's innocent interpretation. For the next few days, Timmy noticed his dad spent a lot of time in the bathroom, often with a small comb in his hand. He also saw him applying a strange lotion. "Is that to keep the crabs happy, Dad?" Timmy asked. "Yes, Timmy," Mr. Johnson replied, trying not to laugh. "It's a special lotion to make the crabs go away." "But I thought you liked catching crabs, Dad," Timmy said, confused. "Well, Timmy," Mr. Johnson said, "these crabs are not the fun kind. They're more trouble than they're worth." In the end, Mr. Johnson got rid of his crabs, and life returned to normal. But Timmy always remembered the time his dad caught the mysterious crabs. And he decided that when he grew up, he would stick to catching the crabs at the beach.
