The natural religion 💯

The nature (made) by Allah is (Islam) on which He has created mankind. (Adopt it. The instinct) created by Allah will never be changed. This Din (Religion) is straight but most people do not know these realities.(Al-Quran) (edited)

The verse quoted is from the Quran, Surah Ar-Rum (30:30), which emphasizes the concept of "fitrah," or the natural disposition towards monotheism and obedience to Allah. Here's an analysis of the verse and its implications: *Meaning and Analysis* **"فَاَقِمۡ وَجۡہَکَ لِلدِّیۡنِ حَنِیۡفًا"** - "So set your face with absolute concentration (and single-minded devotion) to the obedience of Allah." - This part of the verse urges believers to direct themselves fully and sincerely towards the true religion of Islam, with unwavering dedication. **"فِطۡرَتَ اللّٰہِ الَّتِیۡ فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَیۡہَا"** - "The nature (made) by Allah is (Islam) on which He has created mankind." - Here, "fitrah" refers to the natural state or inherent disposition that Allah has instilled in all human beings. According to Islamic belief, this natural state is one of submission to Allah and an innate recognition of His oneness. **"لَا تَبۡدِیۡلَ لِخَلۡقِ اللّٰہِ"** - "The instinct created by Allah will never be changed." - This phrase suggests that the inherent nature (fitrah) created by Allah in humans remains constant and unaltered. It indicates that, despite external influences or deviations, the core of human nature aligns with the principles of Islam. **"ذٰلِکَ الدِّیۡنُ الۡقَیِّمُ"** - "This Din (Religion) is straight." - Islam is described as the right and upright path, the true religion that aligns with human nature and leads to a fulfilling life. **"وَ لٰکِنَّ اَکۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ"** - "But most people do not know these realities." - Despite the clarity and truth of Islam, many people remain unaware or ignorant of its teachings and the natural alignment it has with human disposition. *Implications and Response* This verse highlights the following key points: 1. **Innate Disposition Towards Monotheism**: According to Islamic belief, every human is born with a natural inclination towards believing in and worshiping one God (Allah). This is known as "fitrah." 2. **Unchangeable Nature**: The verse emphasizes that this natural disposition is a constant, unchangeable part of human creation. Regardless of cultural, social, or personal changes, this intrinsic nature towards monotheism and submission to Allah remains. 3. **True Religion**: Islam is presented as the true and upright religion that is in harmony with human nature. It is straightforward, devoid of complexities, and aligned with the innate tendencies of humans. 4. **Lack of Awareness**: Despite the inherent nature and clear guidance, many people are unaware or fail to recognize these truths. This lack of awareness could be due to various distractions, misconceptions, or societal influences that lead individuals away from their natural disposition. *Reflection* The verse calls for a return to this natural state of submission and recognition of Allah. It encourages believers to realign themselves with their intrinsic nature and follow the straightforward path of Islam. It serves as a reminder that despite external influences, the core human inclination towards monotheism and obedience to Allah is unalterable and deeply rooted in human creation. Understanding and reflecting upon this verse can lead to a deeper appreciation of the Islamic faith as a natural and fulfilling way of life, encouraging individuals to seek knowledge and awareness of these fundamental truths.
