Optimisic and uplifted

Equity committee today, and we just rolled out several affinity groups that staff can participate in as their identities may align. Paid time, too! Following that was a first meeting for a white/dominant culture learning space. I planned and facilitated that one. It's an option for those identifying as such that may not fit into any of the others, or additionally are interested in learning and collaborating on how to better their knowledge and navigation of the workplace, and the world in regard to dei and our power and place in society. It was a great start and felt well taken as a beginning. I don't even know how much I don't know, but I *do* know that we'll have no trouble finding and sharing books to read, classes and seminars to explore, and topics to learn. Through each of our different experiences and perspectives we'll teach each other, too. Just hoping for more participation as we go. If anyone has an impactful or important suggestion towards that goal, please share and I'll be glad to look into it and share it along, too. I hope everyone out there can find and take opportunities to learn and grow! Be well ๐Ÿ’ซ (edited)
