Question

I was thinking about how words are just sounds rearranged. I looked it up, and apparently the English language has roughly 44 unique sounds. So out of the roughly calculated 170,000 words in the English language, they can all be expressed through a rearrangement of any combination and amount of roughly 44 sounds.

Are you referring to the alphabet, sir? Bc then yes, the letters of the alphabet are what make sounds, and there’s a very finite number of letters.

Comparatively, Vietnamese has 5(?) unique tones, 2 less letters in its alphabet. Simpler language, but it's all subject thee meaning intended based on the tone and words used.
