Personality Type Compatibility

Question

I've known about MBTI for about 8 years or so, and every time I take a test I score solidly as INTP,  and I can identify with the description, strengths and weaknesses almost down to a t. 
What I don't quite get is the metric by which for instance Boo rates character comptatibilities. For instance, INTP gets a "green" rating for ENTP, ENTJ and ENFJ. Which I don't quite get because I believe I get along better with "I" and "P" rather than "E" and "J" types. (However, my last gf scored INTJ and we got along fine - for the most part).

So... how seriously should the suggested compatibilities be taken? Is this more based than "libra matches with gemini" at all? Have you personally realized one or more types that you don't get along with at all?

I mean personally for me I completely understand the extrovert compatibility. Like, who else is gonna tell the fast food worker that the order is wrong?

The idea is to avoid reinforcing potentially problematic aspects of the personality without being so different as to drive each other insane (hence why all "best match" types for you are still related to N (Ne dominant for ENTP and Ni secondary for ENFJ AND ENTJ) ).

The yellows are still supposed to be doable, just slightly more risky if you are hard-aspected into your personality type and not particularly self-aware.

That is, there is some thought behind it, but the whole thing is really dependent upon how well the person fits into the mold (and how much they are aware of it).

As an addendum, if INTP were only really compatible with ENTP, ENTJ and ENFJ, that would... well, I guess at least it would explain why I have such trouble finding someone, as these types are some of the rarest in the spectrum. :p

These kinds of apps prioritize raising money over matching people. You shouldn't expect too much from their algorithms
