Queenโ€™s Reward

Recently went to Queenโ€™s Reward in Tupelo, MS. They have a great selection of meads and personally I canโ€™t recommend the โ€œRubeeโ€ enough.

Whatโ€™s been the weirdest mead youโ€™ve had?

I had a friend make some with a bunch of bitter seeds and stuff. It was basically made to make you vomit if you drank more than a bottle (friendo had a drinking problem and used this to moderate). It didnโ€™t taste like Malรถrt but it had that sort of vibe. Any creative, bizarre, or otherwise weirdโ€ฆ read more

Still not convinced that 2.5 gallons of lemon and ginger mead will be enough. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mango habanero mead

For this one I used one perfectly ripe (and accidentally dropped) mango, two diced habaneros, and 2.5 pounds of honey. This is my favorite mead to make. My friends and I love it.

New Brew

This one is mango habanero with blueberries. It turned out extremely spicy and pretty fruity. It's okay to drink but I think it's going to be even better to slow cook pork in for pulled pork. I love how it turned out blood red ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

MY HOMEMADE MEAD

It's not not super strong compares to like moonshine. My first batch has been percolating for about 4 weeks. I like being able to drink without feeling like it's going to come back up. When I drink I drink.

Strawberry melomel

About a year and a half old now, did a no water method. Used way too much honey but it tastes like Strawberry jam and isn't cloying. (edited)

Health Potion

If your homebrew is in a little potion bottle, it's instantly a health potion. Those are the rules. ๐Ÿ˜
