Deleuze and Cyberpunk: Philosophy in a Digital Rhizome

Cyberpunk worlds are often described as neon‑soaked dystopias, corporate empires, and digital underworlds. Are we a creation, or are we a coincidence in the universe?

This is, I suppose, one of the classic questions of existence and meaning in Philosophy. Not long ago I was talking with my dad for about one hour about it and it was a pretty interesting conversation, so I'm wondering about what other Boo members think about it. I'll highlight some of the… read more

You are dropped penniless into a village in the middle of England in the year 1500. You maintain all your current knowledge. How would you make your way to the top?

"I would immediately find a means of drawing images and approach a blacksmith or other skilled craftsman. I would pretend to be mute, and using my knowledge of simple mechanisms I would draw some designs. Hopefully this would pique his curiosity to take me as an apprentice or try out my ideas. You are the truth I've searched for, my ultimate why, the meaning I found beneath a starlit sky.

Before you, my mind was a scattered, restless sea, a Socratic question with no key. You are my metaphysics, the essence of my being, the form of a perfect love I was always seeing. You are the logic that makes my world align, the premise of a life that's truly mine. In your embrace, I find the… read more
