Found a tiny White‑crowned Snake (Cacophis harriettae) in our nursery area today. Carefully released it… and a Butcherbird swooped in and claimed it for lunch. Snake gone, boss angry because I touched a venomous snake.

Always hike with some one you can outrun in case you encounter large predators like bears or mountain lions no human can out run them but if you can outrun your nature buddy you are in good shape while it eats them you make your escape
