And how did you adopt this mindset? 

For me it's to treat others how you want to be treated, I'll always give my respect to others with the expectation that I'll be treated with respect in return.

I adopted this mindset from my elementary school, it just made sense to me, respect cannot grow unless one gives it first.

Today's philosophical thought:

What if love isn't about finding your 'other half' but about meeting someone whose chaos dances well with yours? We keep searching for completion when perhaps the magic lies in mutual fascination - two whole universes colliding, not two halves clinging.  

The ancient Greeks had it backwards. We don't have one soulmate - we have countless potential soulmates, each reflecting different facets of our infinite selves. The question isn't 'will I find the one?' but 'which version of myself do I want to become through this love?'  

Modern dating feels like browsing a library where everyone's judging books by their covers while secretly wishing someone would read their footnotes. Maybe real connection begins when we dare to display our table of contents - scars, quirks, and marginalia included.  

Here's the radical truth: the healthiest relationships aren't built on passion or practicality alone, but on shared delusions. Two people who willingly believe in the same beautiful fiction - that this, right here, matters more than anything else in the cosmos.

For those who were kind enough to respond to my question yesterday, here are my answers 
1 - sustenance....for the body of our soul.  This includes air, water and food
2 - shelter...... protection for our body from the elements.  This includes your home and the clothes you wear.
3 - communication.....you must be able to communicate with others and your environment.

All have a single purpose, your only true purpose in this life, to perpetuate life itself.  Whether you want to believe or not, this is a fact.  These are your necessities.  All else are luxuries.....
