🛑I’m referring to the trend of posts suggesting that you should like whoever likes you, as if you should settle for anyone who shows interest.
  
‼️Clearly, the desperation is real‼️
  
I disagree with that mindset and share my thoughts on it below.⏬

Liking someone just because they like you can be a dangerous trap, leading to shallow or unfulfilling relationships. When we crave love, attention, or validation, it’s easy to mistake someone’s interest for true connection. 

This often results in relationships where one or both people are more attached to the feeling of being wanted than to the actual person in front of them. 
When we base our relationships on external validation rather than genuine alignment, we risk settling for dynamics that don’t actually serve us in the long run.

Without mutual value, compatibility, and a true understanding of each other’s needs, the foundation of the relationship remains weak.
 
Attraction and surface level connection may create initial excitement, but without deeper alignment, the relationship is likely to struggle when faced with real challenges.

“Like who Likes you”…

The term "Visual Vulture" describes individuals who are more interested in appearances than personality, often engaged in picture-driven #communication without seeking genuine #relationships.

These individuals often claim to be “visual people”. However, their intentions prioritize collecting images over understanding the person behind the pictures, emphasizing superficial qualities and neglecting deeper, more meaningful interactions.

They tend to overlook inner qualities in favor of visual satisfaction, particularly focusing on the appearance of others, especially women, through photos, showing little interest in character or deeper qualities.

I spent 20 years of my life in a dark depression.  I always held hope that the light I saw in distance was only a step away.

The darkness was a winding labyrinth of infinite dead ends and my steps were agonizingly slow. Half step here and half step there. But I kept walking and in time, despite my anguish I took even and steady steps. I walked and walked in an endless darkness but I knew there was light somewhere and then finally, without me having realized it, I had found it and I had already escaped. 

It is possible to escape depression. It is a difficult journey, not because we must do difficult things to escape it, but because there are so many dead ends in an seemingly infinite darkness and our feet are heavy and stiff. But dont give up, keeping walking and dont stop. Because when you escape you won't even realize you already have.

So please, keep walking.

Don't be invalidated by people because they are not in your frequency.

Read that again.

Remember, a lot of people struggle.

They suffer their own demons. 

They have their own hardships and past experiences. 

It takes strength to come out of that, right?

Not everyone finds that strength.

And/or, everyone finds it in different ways. 

On top of that, not everyone finds it at the same time as when you do, or when your light hits them.

And sometimes, your light is too bright for their eyes when all they see is dark.

So maybe, they gaslight you.

Maybe they tear you down.

Maybe, they just don't recognize your light for what it is and think it's "fake", or just irritating.

MAYBE, you both have healed in your own ways and they just are on different frequencies themselves. 

That's the problem with trying to be recognized or validated by someone who's operating on a different frequency than you.

They cannot understand you.

It's like playing classical music on a radio station that typically plays screamo rock.

Or...screamo rock on a station that typically plays classical.

This is the idea behind different alignments, frequencies and energies.

Start validating yourself instead.

That is ALL that matters and ever will.

You do not need someone else's validation for you to know how amazing you are.

Know your value.

Know your worth.

And walk with your head up like you do.

I don't want to catch you with your eyes to the ground and your head hung low…not for too long at least. ❤️‍🩹

You're better than that and deep down, you know that.

Just gotta re-ignite that flame ;).

And, if you happen to flow with someone who is aligned with you, then AMAZING. 

In fact, remember - like attracts like. So, stay aligned with yourself…and you’ll attract those who are in alignment with you.

Life has a way of overwhelming us. We get stuck in our heads, overanalyzing every decision, every step, every potential misstep. We wonder if we are on the right path, if we are doing enough, if we are enough. The weight of the unknown can paralyze us. But here’s the truth—you don’t need all the answers today.  

You don’t have to figure out your entire life in one night. You don’t have to see the whole staircase before you take the first step. You just have to move. One foot in front of the other. One day at a time. One decision at a time.  

The Beauty of Small Steps  

Progress isn’t always obvious. Some days, it feels like you’re running in place. Other days, it feels like you’re moving backward. But even in those moments, there is growth. There is learning. There is strength being built in the quiet, unseen spaces of your struggle.  

The mistake so many of us make is waiting for clarity before taking action. We think we need a perfectly laid-out plan before we begin. But life doesn’t work that way. Clarity comes from movement. Purpose is revealed in action.  

You may not know where you're going, but if you keep walking, life has a way of guiding you toward where you need to be. The key is to keep going.  

Drowning in Overthinking  

Overthinking is a slow poison. It turns simple choices into overwhelming dilemmas. It creates problems that don’t exist. It keeps you trapped in the illusion that if you just think hard enough, you’ll figure it all out.  

But overthinking doesn’t lead to certainty. It leads to exhaustion. You don’t think your way into living—you live your way into understanding.  

What if, instead of obsessing over the “right” move, you just made a move? What if, instead of waiting for the perfect time, you started where you are? What if, instead of doubting yourself, you gave yourself permission to learn as you go?  

Trusting the Process  

Think about a long journey through a dense forest. The path isn’t always clear. Sometimes, you can only see a few steps ahead. But you keep walking. You trust that each step forward will bring new sights, new turns, new opportunities.  

That’s how life works. You might not know what’s waiting for you a mile ahead, but you don’t have to. All you need to focus on is what’s in front of you.  

Life isn’t asking you to have all the answers today. It’s only asking you to keep moving. And as you do, new doors will open, new lessons will shape you, and before you know it, you’ll look back and realize—you were always on your way.  

The Myth of Finding Purpose  

We put so much pressure on ourselves to “find” our purpose as if it’s some hidden treasure buried deep within the earth, waiting for us to discover it. But what if purpose isn’t something you find?  

What if it’s something you grow into?  

Purpose isn’t a destination—it’s a byproduct of living fully, of trying, of failing, of experimenting, of following curiosity, of paying attention to what sets your soul on fire. It’s not always clear in the moment, but when you look back, the dots will connect.  

You don’t find your purpose. Your purpose finds you—when you keep moving.  

Give Yourself Grace  

You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re in the process. And the process is messy, uncertain, and unpredictable. But it’s also beautiful.  

You are allowed to take your time. You are allowed to change direction. You are allowed to not have it all figured out.  

The only thing you are not allowed to do is give up on yourself.  

Because even when it doesn’t feel like it, every single step you take matters.  

So take a deep breath. Let go of the need for perfect answers. And just put one foot in front of the other. Each day. Every day.

These phrases help set boundaries with people who feel an obligation to know every little detail about your #life.

We've all been there; a #family member, friend, co-worker, or someone you just started #dating suddenly becomes a bit too intrusive, sneaking their opinions into business that may not concern them. The immediate reflex when this happens is to tell that person to mind their business, but sometimes it can seem as if you're snapping at them when you didn't want to be that blunt in the first place.

There are definitely more clever, witty, and polite ways to say "none of your business" without actually saying it. When someone is treading too closely into matters they don't need to be involved in, there's nothing wrong with setting that boundary in place for personal things that you don't want others to be privy to.

1) “I'd rather keep that private”:
This phrase is polite yet incredibly straightforward. It lets someone know they're getting too close for comfort regarding certain matters. Everyone has a right to their private matters, and if you don't feel comfortable sharing something, you shouldn't feel obligated to.

2) “Let's talk about something else”:
When someone is trying to dive into a topic that makes you uncomfortable or is something you simply don't want to discuss, divert the #conversation into safer waters by saying, "Let's talk about something else." This avoids outright rejection and tells the other person you still want to engage in conversation.

3) “I'm not sure I'm ready to share that yet”:
When it comes to personal matters, only you decide when to open up. Some topics might still feel raw, or you might not have the words to describe your #feelings. No one should make you feel forced to share things you're not ready to share.

4) “I haven't given it much thought”:
This smooth and nonchalant phrase shuts down a topic you have no interest in delving into. It signals that the topic is not of any significance to you, allowing you to set a firm boundary non-confrontationally.

5) “Why would you want to know that?”:
Asking this question can prompt the other person to reconsider if their question is appropriate. It helps you maintain your boundaries without coming across as rude, especially in conversations with #people you care about.

This phrase alerts the other person that you're not up for discussing that topic at the moment, but you don't want to shut down the conversation altogether. It's a way to deflect without causing offense.
