What We Call Love.

One of my earliest introspections and self reflections that sparked significant change in me was in realizing there's no substantial difference between the internal mechanisms that lead to a temper tantrum and that of those that lead to what people call anger, this goes the same for the triggers, hence anger is just a glorified temper tantrum. People argue that anger has purpose, but all their arguments are only as valid as arguing that uranium has purpose as a paper weight as they need to ignore what all makes it inferior as well as ignore alternatives for each proclaimed function in order to argue in favor of it. Any actor skilled enough can intimidate without being angry, and behind that intimidation is a sort of confidence, assertiveness, and ability to convince others towards specific reactions. As a motivator, it's even easier to see the flaws as anything that brings discomfort holds the power to motivate and the chances of regrets forming from actions motivated by anger are incredibly high compared to other motivational sources. If you lack motivation in the absence of anger, that's not a valid reason to give value to anger, but instead a valid reason to examine any claims of sincerity regarding your values that you have.



Introspection and self reflection has lead me to understand that selflessness doesn't exist outside the confines of deeply programmed reactions, and the loss of free will such as can be triggered by Devils Breath. Instead of "Selflessness", what is really there is a lack of self awareness and accountability for one's own motivations.

I do things to escape, to feel good, to prevent myself from feeling bad later on, and to protect my conscience.

These motivations cover everything that the exceptions to the rule do not.

I came to embrace the fact that being told "Thank you" makes me uncomfortable, I don't do things for a "Thank you", I do them because of the list I already provided. "Thank you" isn't an accountability statement, it's an external validation source, and the most narcissistic people in my life were offended that I put a boundary there. I am fine with someone saying they appreciate something, but only if that appreciation is sincere. You don't owe me appreciation just because I was motivated to act in a way that benefited you, but if it comes naturally and you are sincerely appreciative, owing it to yourself to be vocal about the appreciation can be a thing, just say "I appreciate that". 

External validation is a poison that manipulators rely on. While your mental health needs it when you are young, it's something those who claim to love you should help you grow out of by way of guiding you towards healthy Internal validation sources. See the outcomes of democracy? That there should be all the proof that you need to understand that the judgements of far too many doesn't deserve to be placed upon a pedestal, especially if an outcome of that is for you to look down on yourself.


Rejecting external validation and perfecting internal validation makes me okay with being alone, reliance on external validation is a blindfold that keeps you from seeing all that you are able to do for yourself and all the ways that pulling someone else into the equation wouldn't help or improve, especially if you refuse to treat someone like some sort of appliance whose purpose is defined by what you can get from them, rather than actual compatibility based on each other's authentic self.

I strongly believe that actual real love is the pursuit of understanding someone and their needs and acting upon that understanding in a way that nurtures them and helps growth. If understanding someone makes you dislike them, then that's where your feelings for them belongs.

Outcomes

This philosophy I've lived by and it's innate yet often not internalized. Your external factors you cannot fully control although you will try and often must believe you can. It is somewhat derived from stoicism and introspective. The idea that you can only control how you react to your environment. It's beautiful and should be measured. I tried often by seconds in the day. The core values in the principle need the guidance of a cute awareness of your emotional state. When you get mad you instantly acknowledge it like in a meditative state. Reaffirmation of being "good" pays in dividends. In the end if it weren't for you there would be someone else

If you have to bask in the stupidity of the world, at least do it with a smile.

So here's a wild thing: I recognize that nothing really matters, but I love subjective reasons to rejoice. Anyways, today is my birthday and I celebrated it with an eight hour shift and then delivering a lecture on Absurdism. 😅 I really need more friends. Cause I could've just gotten drunk.

I've been told by one of my superiors that there's a lot of opposition of me taking the role. And I told him, if they think so, they can find someone that fits the role. I'm open to new learning but if I don't qualify then don't put me up to that, it's that simple. At the end I got the role, I'm being grilled everyday of how I don't know this and that. Couldn't care less I'm thrilled of the new learning and experience.

As someone who cares a little too much about everyone, I tend to get very mad and villainize people who hurt me. Instead I'm working on forgiving them and forgetting them and continuing on with my life without the weight of my anger.
