Romantic love often conjures images of grand gestures or instant sparks. However, recent studies of #psychology reveal that love encompasses much more than that. In this post, I will explore three impactful ways to make your partner or future partner feel deeply loved.

1 ) Be Responsive To Their Needs:
People feel loved when their partners respond positively to their needs. This involves several key actions:

a) Showing affection. Small, consistent gestures like hugs, compliments, and thoughtful surprises go a long way in conveying care and connection. These acts of affection remind your partner that they are cherished and valued.

b) Providing support. It’s essential to be there during tough times and to actively contribute to their well-being. This can be through #emotional support, such as listening and validating their #feelings, as well as tangible #support, like helping with tasks or being a shoulder to lean on.

c) Enhancing their sense of worth. Regularly acknowledge and appreciate your partner’s value. This can be done through respectful #communication, encouragement, and celebrating their achievements, no matter how small. When your partner feels valued, their sense of #love deepens.

2) Lean Into Your Authentic Connection:

Loyalty

I'm not sure I'll be able to word this correctly. I want l state that I believe many people are chasing an fleeting state of love. 

People view love as a hot emotion, something firey, whiles its true that love can burn hot and its healthy that it does so. Love doesn't burn got forever and thats ok. Because love at its core isn't a hot emotion l, its a warm one. Love is radiant and comforting, it is patient and content.

In tbe intial stages of a relationship there is a lot of passion and change as a new whirlwind of emotion has been brought into your life, and people become addicted to this sensation and think its love but its only an initial byproduct of it. Thag burning sensation will peter out in time and when it does a person should by that point be content in the warm embrace of love rather than pursue a fleeting heat. Of course passion can and will return like a cycle so long as a person can learn to accept love rather than chase it.

Thats why I think there are some people who end their relationships and start new ones, they are addicted to that initial whirlwind. Just cause the whirlwind has petered out doesn't mean the love has, and im sure most people can tell the difference with a little introspection.

Love addiction

After you’ve spent some time #single, it's common to wonder when it's time to let someone new into your #life. How can you distinguish between protecting your #peace and recognizing that it's time to find your person? I have a perspective that might help clarify this.

Before I share my #thoughts, I did some research to see what others are saying about staying single.

Popular Advice on Staying Single:

1) Stay single until you find someone who puts effort into loving you.
2) Stay single until you meet someone who matches your #loyalty.
3) Stay single until you find someone who adds value to your life.
4) Stay single until you meet someone who genuinely complements your life.

The consensus seems to be about waiting for "someone who" fulfills certain criteria. While it's true that you should hold out for someone who deserves, respects, and understands you, there's a more fundamental question to consider: "Am I ready to no longer be single?"

The Key: Letting Go of Expectations:

1) Let go of #expectations about what dating should look like.
2) Release the notion of a "right" way to #date.
3) Remove preconceived ideas about how you’re supposed to meet someone.
4) Forget about what a first date should entail.
5) Let go of expectations about the early stages of a #relationship.
6) Discard any pressure or checklists for how a relationship should progress.

This doesn’t mean abandoning standards or compatibility, but rather recognizing that there’s no set formula for dating. Stay single until you can approach dating without a predetermined path.

Embracing the Unpredictable Journey

1) Be open to connecting in unexpected ways.
2) Be willing to join paths with someone whose #journey is unlike anything you imagined.
3) Stay single until you realize that expectations of perfection aren’t helpful.
4) Be ready to endure tough times without succumbing to idealistic quotes that suggest you should only reciprocate what's given to you.

Wipe the slate clean of expectations about the "how." Remove expectations for the process.

No Formula for Love

Consider this: there are countless stories of how #love unfolds. Some couples date for years before marrying, only to separate soon after. Others meet unexpectedly, marry quickly, and enjoy lasting #happiness. There is no formula for the "how" of dating:

1) You can meet someone on an app; let go of any stigma.
2) You can meet someone at the gym; embrace the awkwardness.
3) A first date can end with a handshake, a high five, or whatever feels right.
4) First dates can also lead to unexpected connections; if that's what you want.
5) You can connect with someone online and not meet in person for months.
6) Break away from your "type" and give a chance to someone unexpected.

Every person is unique, and so is how connections form. Don't let expectations block potential sparks.

Stay single until you're ready to embrace the unpredictable journey of connecting with others.

Death is a stage of life that I often find daunting to think about. I love my life and I value my time alive on this planet. The thought of it all being sucked away in a moments notice panics me. 

However, over time. Studying philosophy and putting things into new perspectives has helped. This quote by Marcus Aurelius is one of the perspectives that helps me reframe my mind and put my fear at ease. 

Death comes for us all regardless of how you feel and how much you dread it. It’s okay to be scared, but the sooner you understand it doesn’t change the outcome. The sooner you accept it for what it is. The only thing you’re left with is what the real fear is. 

A fear much more realistic to concern ourselves with is not the inevitable end of our life. But the wasted use of our life while we have it. Spend your life true to yourself now whilst you have it. Because you have no idea how long ‘it’ lasts.
