Is love a learned behavior?

Love is a complex emotion, to be fair. I'd say though that for the most part, it's innate. I mean, we experience love the first time we ever had our heart beat. There's a study from, the author of Parenting Begins Before Conception: A Guide to Preparing Body,  Carista Luminare-Rosen PHD that shows that a baby in the womb can feel and understand the emotions of love and rejection, felt from and by their parents. The does mean that some part of it is learned of course, but for the most part, love is a innate desire for humans, especially for depending on where they live and the environment they currently live. Our ancestors, if they were kicked out of a tribe, their brain would signal them that they're going to die. That's an innate feeling. Regardless, without standing a point too much, I really think that love is both an innate and learned thing. It's very Nature vs Nurture in terms of Pyschology! 😊

Love is built into our DNA. As children we don't choose to love we just do it. Circumstances and the society around us get into our minds and hearts which then allows us a choice to love based on factors those around us teach us.

No, love is a disease. Seriously, the state of falling in love and new love is incredible, but some doctors have compared it to a state of disease. Then it turns into something more mature over time. I know some people struggle with it, but when I fall in love it’s inescapable.

Honestly we have experienced it before as other people have said, but expressing to someone who isn't our parents is I believe a learned behavior. Looking back dating isn't so much about love but more about feeling out if you are compatible with a person, and you answer the question slowly after reflecting on how you interact with them and if you honestly think you can enjoy a future with them.

It’s an emotion that can be learned and understood through time. However, it must be emphasized that it can turn into a behavior if not handled properly. It’s out there, just be careful to whom you show to much love to. 👍

Love is something we feel but how we go about showing it to those around us can differ wildly. From acts of chivalry to a few simple words of comfort. As for where we learn how to express love can come from friends family lovers and even trauma can show you how to express love.

O don’t think so, maybe the way of treating the other person can be learned and adapted, but you love the way you love, and if you try to change that, you are trying to change yourself and I don’t think that is a good thing tbh
