I for one, refuse to date leprechauns. I don't care if it makes me racist. I don't care that I'm throwing away a decent chance of getting the gold at the end of a rainbow, I will not date someone under 2 feet tall.

It has a little importance to me.
I'm 196cm (6'5"), and as much as I would love to find a partner who I could look straight in the eye, the likelihood of that is very slim.
So a girlfriend is pretty much assured to be shorter, and I'm fine with that. 
However, anything shorter that around 162cm (5'4" ish) is going to bring up a few logistical concerns, to put it politely.
