iv been seeing some dating horror stories lately to cure some of my boredom and some of the worst stories iv seen all come from hinge i remember i tried this app before and i deleted it within 5-10 minutes because it literally showed my location as in my neighborhood location like thats so dangerous ?! also just something to add i don’t see much people talking about this either but i hate when some of these apps ask you certain information on your profile like in terms of filling stuff out like some of the info apps provide for you to fill out just seems like personal to me i don’t mean like height etc but like your school ? etc i mean i filled it out but still for some reason it just feels like it takes away from me getting to know someone like we haven’t even spoke yet and you already know this about me etc

okay so i joined this app in January when the new year started i joined this app because i needed to meet some people i was upset at the time of course and lonely because I had a break up we were together for 5 years since 2018 and we had a long history of disagreements and talking to eachother on and off i won’t go into it but long story short the reason im sharing this now is because we were long distance in terms of another country now some of yall will think that sounds crazy but it is what it is or was anyways i was 18 and of course talked to anyone it didnt bother me but the reason im sharing this is because sometimes on this app ill get some messages from men from other countries and it is a goal of starting a relationship not just having a friendly conversation now can you be friends sure because i was also friends with someone from another country and he was a nice guy and of course attachment was starting to form with him and me like cute emojis as an example but yet he didn’t want to have a relationship because we were far 
( time waster ) ( this happened during the time me and my bf at the time were on and off ) but anyways me and the ex at the time were doing okay ( meaning torwards the end of 2023 ) but yet the arguments still continued so i broke it off i know i deserve better and i did the best i could but of course sometimes these things happen which means they were not the right one for you and that’s okay anyways im sharing this experience because since iv been getting some messages on here from men from other country’s please don’t even bother to do that now it just feels exhausting to even reply anymore i haven’t been on a date since i was 17 in 2017 and that was a year before i met my long distance bf now ex and then my friend who we talked every now and then and with his emojis making me feel like he wanted more when he didn’t like from my perpestive he seemed to be 50/50 with it and this has continued through the years 
because he wasn’t like an unpleasant person he just couldn’t make up his mind about me now i know some of you might think this whole situation is ridiculous but im just telling you how it is and so thats my story with this experience of talking to men from other places when that type of situation came up  (in terms of the problem of getting attracted to them) the ex because of course we had a long history and the friend because he would message occasionally and make it seem like he wanted to be with me like for example he’d send me hearts and kiss faces and said i was his best friend which eventually i stood my ground and he said oh well we can’t have a relationship but i hope we remain friends for many years so to end this i ended up cutting them both off the ex because it just didn’t work and the friend of mine because he just waste time once again yes this was a real situation it happened to me never will it happen again i learned a lot so please for the men who come across my account and are far away from me please do not message me it will just be a waste of time i don’t want to waste another half a decade of time I’m not 18 anymore I’m 24 I’m posting this as a plea because even tho my settings are set to local (people from other places can still see my account) so if your looking for a relationship and your not at least from the United States please avoid me i wish you well and that you find your person but i can’t do it anymore it’s exhausting for me i have to be with someone local from now on and if i can’t find someone local or at least someone in the states then im going to remain happily single it’s just not worth the time anymore especially since i have a goal of getting married and being a mom

i have a story to share iv learned from this experience for the future maybe it has been some of you im not sure but i felt comfortable to be vulnerable and share this here because iv really loved this community here since i joined so i don’t feel like id be laughed at or judged

Many women only parade themselves around as looking nice, without actually being nice....

So many men will go crazy for beautiful women as where some of us are completely bored by it, unless these women have attractive personalities. 🤔

I've only ever been in one relationship, my girlfriend at the time was rather emotionally abusive and most relationships I've witnessed either ended, or continued to struggle because the female was emotionally manipulative or because she was insane and self destructive. Things like this have caused me to not trust females, as I almost Instinctively see them as unfeeling.

I've watched enough shows and movies where a couple fall in love and live happily ever after, but I could never actually feel it from the female, it takes effort to believe she could actually feel anything or want to be with someone for actually liking them.

However I'd like to think I'm wise enough to know that everyone is different and that these things are not normal, and so I've wondered for a long time, how rare is it for a couple to be genuinely happy with each other? Is happiness as fake in a relationship as I'm lead to believe or do people actually feel happy to see each other when they walk through the door?
