Honest answer? A lot of times people think they are treating someone "well" based on how THEY want to be treated, or how they have been conditioned by society/culture about what people want. In reality, it's possible to do everything you think someone SHOULD want, while completely missing the cues about what they ACTUALLY want. And then when their needs aren't being met, they leave. 🤷♀️
