No apology for certain level of disrespect more action needed

There's a certain level of disrespect that an apology just doesn't fix. It's not every time that you should hold a dialogue after someone has wronged you. You risk teaching them that they can get away with anything. Some things you don't talk about them. You walk because of them. Embarrassing you in front of third parties, for example, and doing so knowingly. This is not the kind of offence for which someone can just say sorry in private. They must correct it with the same publicity in which they committed it, or else you must stop your association with them. If someone repeats the same act of disloyalty, they're communicating that it wasn't a mistake to begin with but a lifestyle choice they've made. The question now shifts to you to decide if you want to continue participating in that. I have found that most people in these situations can not recognise disrespect. They can't tell when dynamics shift from working on the relationship to tolerating contempt and disrespect. Their sense of self and awareness of what they deserve is very weak and almost missing. It's important that you develop your self-concept before you get into any union so that you can recognise when you're being violated. The moment you start letting everything slide because you don't realise how serious it is, people will take you through everything. In short, disrespect means a violation of your dignity. If you don't have this sense of honour in who you are and the kind of treatment you deserve, nothing else in your life will work because you'll keep attracting disrespect.
