Cyclic universe theory:
If you're unfamiliar... is a proposed theory other than the Big Bang. A "bouncing" universe theory argues that our cosmos didn’t emerge on its own out of nothing. Instead, advocates claim, a prior universe shrunk in on itself and then regrew into the one we live in. This may have happened once or, according to some theories, an infinite number of times. The great contraction suggests that each time the universe shrank, the existing components collided and created an extensive inflation afterwards. In that inflation, new compounds were formed each time, creating the planets and galaxies. And it is only a matter of time before the next great contraction and inflation. 🤔

To be fair, this is less an alternative to the big bang theory than a model that incorporates the big bang theory. That is, the big bang theory is the "extensive inflation" for our "cycle". As it is, it is fun and interesting as a postulate.

Astronaut Bruce McCandless II became the first human being to do a spacewalk without a safety tether linked to spacecraft. In 1984 he floated completely untethered in space with nothing but his Manned Maneuvering Unit keeping him alive.

Do you think there is life other than planet earth in the universe.
I would say yes because there is at least 100k ly of space in our milkyway and If we are the only planet to exist with life in space then it would be a waste of space and there has to be other alien lifeforms out there, some hostile, some extinct, some in the form of colonies, and others neutral... read more
