I travel to tropical rainforests a lot, but this was shot right here at home in La Mesa California. This is a juvenile praying mantis who was friendly enough to take a ride on my hand.

Praying Mantis!

This one tried to jump onto me at my grandparents haha. They usually have them around there near the bricks and in the flower bed! We even had an egg hatch and could see the little nymphs 🤣💚

No, it's not an alien

It's not an alien. It's the under side of an Australian bush cricket (Similar to a grasshopper). This is the 1st one I've seen here...It's more common for me to see other green bugs like prey mantis or Goliath stick insects. Anyway I thought to share something unique(besut)
