Another fun day of fire and steel
Made a fun little hair pin and think it came out nice

Finally got around to getting the forge setup
It's been a long time coming but I finally have the forge setup again after years and years of it floating from one storage to another. I'll have to pretty much start from the ground up as far as skills go, my body is so out of practice. I figure making a nail header, square punch, and tanged… read more

Getting the shop set up
Starting over in life is hard, but it gives me the opportunity to rebuild better and for that I'm greatful. This old anvil definitely needs some love, resurfacing the base so it sits nicely on the stand, and then the face of the anvil will need a bit of work to get the pitting out. But we are on… read more

Forge came in today!
After losing my shop during a separation I'm slowly rebuilding. Very excited for the upgrades in my life rn

Had a great time at my first FABA convention (edited)

Newest Creation
Had an idea to put a flower on a hair piece. I think it came out pretty well!

Blacksmith metalsmith Stonesmith woodsmith
My stone, metal, wood game board inspired a local artist. She asked me to make a custom stand to hold this glass picture. Research Billings Montana artist Carol Hagen to see more of these glass horse paintings. The objective was to minimize the frame so light could transfer through all sides

Looking for other local smiths.
I live in the Iroquois/Beechmont area, 40215. I have the basics to smith in my back yard with propane but have yet to meet anyone in real life that has any interest in forging. (edited)
Second ring
We finally got some propane again so I made a new ring yesterday. I think I actually like the rough shape instead of smoothly round because I can twist them sideways to put on and take off easier! I got some cleaning up to do but I feel like I made significant progress from ring 1 to ring 2

First complete project
I have a knife that is near completion but I have this ring I made that is technically complete that I may eventually reshape. I am quite happy with it being my first ever attempt at my own rings

3rd ring
I've managed one that is significantly more consistent in thinness and roundness. Pretty happy with it

Hand Forged Pendant
Tried making one of these for the first time. A little rough and definitely chunky but still super happy with it.
