The great divide

We need to heal the rift that keeps us apart We might look different on the surface but we all have the same heart ❤ We are all members of the human race Either all of us or none of us came from outerspace So let's fix this great divide When it comes to treating others with respect we have not really tried If you fear what's different then stay inside We don't need a thing from you that the universe won't provide If everyone was the same it would make life truly boring What ever happened to going out and doing a little exploring Im not sure how the world got quite so bad I cannot even watch the nightly news without becoming incredibly sad What will taking a life truly do to improve your lot Or is it just about taking what they got Im not sure how you think that will go Waiting to be arrested for murder seems like horrible life is all that I know This is just my opinion its not a manifesto You will do as you want no matter who says so
