Idioms wanted

I'm trying to make a southern-esque character and want to use idioms to accentuate her countryside demeanor. Problem is, I'm not good at coming up with this stuff. The only one I could think of is: "Tighter than a Cockatrice's cloaca." Any other idioms are welcome.
