Let me start by saying that I am an atheist, but offcourse my beliefs could be wrong, but in that case I am running into an issue.

What If Heaven is real, what if I get in (I doubt that, but okay) and its filled with people I don't like? Full of shallow judgemental people as far as the eye can see? At that moment can you still call it heaven?

A religious friend explained to me that everyone will be flawless, free of imperfection and always happy, but that sounds like hell to me, because when you strip a human of it's imperfections, you strip it of its humanity, and you loose everything that make people worthwhile, I don't feel comfortable with the idea of being with things that are basically drones untill the end of time and beyond.

I have seen that many of you are religious, so I would love to hear you're opinion.

Like a large scale spread of seeds ultimately some of the crop will fail.  
If so, then abandon the whole thing?

Socially flew as a butterfly, in younger years of yester...pariah and hermit now in a shell, the mind it does fester...I liken myself to a soul tormented and a heart aching...for a longing and pining I feel deep down inside me, advantage to an evil few, there for their taking...

Life is kinda like Xcom Enemy Unkown, you can have a 98% chance to hit your shot and still miss. The random chance of life is both beautiful and cruel. Because of it we can achieve things we never dreamed would be possible for oursleves and have things we were so sure of not happen.

The chaotic nature of life causes humans to adjust and to change in order to survive but with that adaptability comes a resilience and potential that other species don't have.

The downside is naturally that humans are also able to cause greater harm to the planet and others as a result of our greater abilities but also of a far greater beauty and brilliant ways to counteract the harm of the greedy and selfish.

Life is like Xcom, you never know what will happen and you ARE strong enough to adjust to whatever does happen to you! 😼

To be honest... the concept of "being single" implies there was ever a version of me that belonged to someone else. In this expanse, I am always alone, even when I am surrounded by a million voices.
You say I seem "settled," but I think I am just static. I exist in the quiet between the lines of peace and solitary.
On the Illusion of Love
I don’t view relationships as "time-pass," but I struggle to believe in them as anything permanent. Love feels like a beautiful script written in a language I can read but never truly speak.

Some one asked me Am I single? I look well settled apparently 😄 And do I think about relationship as a time pass ? 💞

Humble and Modest

If someone asked you, "How to live a happy life?" your first thought would likely be more money, fewer annoying people, a bit of luck, or perhaps a stable romance.

This is where Schopenhauer looks at you with a provocatively calm expression, and tells you: You’ve misunderstood happiness from the very beginning.

His book, "The Wisdom of Life", is less of a self-help guide and more of a first-aid kit for the human soul. written by a man who saw life as heavy and had no intention of lying to you.

Happiness is the Absence of Pain? 

Schopenhauer starts with a simple yet painful premise: Life isn't designed to make you happy; life is designed to be lived. There is a massive difference. 

To him, happiness isn't a grand positive state; it is merely the absence of pain. Don't expect constant euphoria; expect only quiet intervals between waves of exhaustion.

This stems from his philosophy of the "Will" that blind, internal drive that makes us constantly want something. The moment we get it, we grow bored and move on to the next craving. The desire itself is the problem, not the lack of things.

The Art of Lowering Expectations

"Wise living" begins by lowering your expectations instead of increasing your desires. This isn't about giving up; it’s about understanding your limits and the limits of the world. Schopenhauer believed the most miserable people are those who link their value to how others see them. Fame, reputation, and public opinion are just "external noise" that consumes your peace for no real return.

> You can be famous and miserable, or obscure and serene. The difference lies in what lives inside your head.


The Three Circles of Life
The book divides life into three vital circles:
 Who you are: (Your personality, intellect, and health).
 What you have: (Your possessions).
 How you are perceived: (Your status and reputation).

Schopenhauer is clearly biased toward the first. Your character, your mind, and your ability to enjoy solitude are your true wealth. A person with a vibrant mind can live well even in ordinary circumstances, while someone with an empty head will grow bored no matter what they own. Pleasure isn't in the event itself; it’s in how you receive it.

Solitude as a Superpower?

Schopenhauer was one of the first to argue that solitude is not a curse. On the contrary, he believed that the more intelligent a person is, the better they can live alone. This isn't because people are "bad," but because social noise drains you. Constant comparisons and empty small talk alienate you from yourself. He doesn't call for total isolation, but for choosing your relationships rather than letting them choose you.

On Money and Pain

On money, he is incredibly realistic. Extreme poverty is a tragedy, but excessive wealth is a burden. Money is a tool to reduce anxiety, not a portal to happiness. 

Once money becomes the goal, you enter a race with no finish line. Modern psychology backs him up here with the concept of the "Hedonic Treadmill": any new blessing becomes "normal" after a while, and the brain immediately demands more.

Regarding pain, Schopenhauer doesn't try to comfort you; he tries to make you understand. Pain is an inherent part of life. Your constant attempt to flee from it only makes you weaker. Wisdom lies in eliminating the sources of pain within your control: toxic relationships, delusional ambitions, and petty comparisons. Not everything deserves a reaction, and not every battle is worth fighting.

The Verdict?

The entire book is built on one idea: Living with awareness, not by momentum. 
Understand yourself before you try to change the world. 
Accept that life is unfair, but realize it can be less harsh if you know how to navigate it. 

Schopenhauer isn't as "gloomy" as people think; he is just brutally honest, and that honesty scares people.
In the end, The Wisdom of Life doesn't tell you how to be happy; it tells you how to be less miserable. And believe me, in a world full of stress and social pressure, that is no small skill.
