I already took a half oz off dried it and tested it. Great taste and buzz. I want to try and keep the plant alive for next year. Usually I make tea and other stuff from the stems and leaves but this time I want to see what happens if I keep the plant alive. Usually I an growing 20 plants but this I only did one.

What you smoke is the flowers. You need to get it to make flowers by giving it a 12-hour dark period every day (simulates the long nights of late summer). Usually people do that by putting it in a closet with a bright LED grow light set to a 12/12 time schedule. They also sell "auto flowering" seeds that you can grow like this and it'll actually make flowers. You can process all the leaves and try to extract the THC they contain, but leaves are much less potent than the flowers. If you see lots of trichomes (sparkly stuff) on the leaves you can make dry ice hash but not all strains make trichomes on the leaves. (edited)
