How odd Spanish ditched the declentions?

I was thinking on learning a new language after Spanish then directed towards Serbian. Noticed they still have noun declentions. It's kind of imterestimg Spanish which derived from Latin with notorious rules and particularly noun declentions became the easiest language on earth.
