Suizenji Garden, also known as Suizenji Jojuen, is a traditional Japanese garden located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. Created in the 17th century by the Hosokawa family, the garden spans approximately 64 hectares. It features a picturesque landscape that replicates the 53 post stations of the Tokaido, the road that connected Edo (Tokyo) to Kyoto during the Edo period. One of the garden's highlights is a miniature representation of Mount Fuji. The garden includes a large pond, meticulously maintained lawns, and various traditional structures, such as a teahouse where visitors can experience Japanese tea ceremonies. The serene environment, complemented by seasonal flora, provides a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Suizenji Garden is a celebrated cultural site and a popular destination for both locals and tourists, reflecting the beauty and harmony of traditional Japanese garden design.
