I have a triangle shaped hole in my heart that I keep trying to fit circles and squares into. At first I thought you were a triangle too, you held the block I needed . That we were meant to be. And over time you changed, you turned into a diamond. You have spikes that don't fit with mine. That meant I had to let you go, and you didn't like that. So I changed. But instead of a hole, there was nothing. And there was nowhere for you to fit anymore. And you HATED that. You played operation, you cut my heart out and tried to mold it to be what you wanted it to be. When you shoved your block back in there, my heart began to die. Blood rushed out, and you gave it a kiss, dyeing your lips red with my blood. As I lay there, cradling my heart in my hands, you demanded comfort. And I helped. I comforted. And you promised you would save my heart. You lied. My heart is dead, and I run purely off gasoline, and everyday I'd bring you a match and beg you to light it and set me free. Now I'm starting to suspect you don't intend to do anything you say at all. I'm a princess locked in an ivory tower, but I helped build my cage. I handed you the bricks. My dead heart sits in your trophy room. While I slowly decompose, you're off trying to fit your block into other holes. You return to me each night, we lay together like a pair of quotation marks, and you tell me how kind & generous you are to me. And I believe you.
