4One time I was at a group dinner with like 9 or 10 other people, and I was sitting next to the host. And the host got up and walked to every individual person at the table and invited them to a party that was happening the next day. Everyone at the table received a personal invite, except me. Which is when I realized why they didn't just ask everyone who wanted to come while sitting down. They specifically wanted to make sure that I wasn't invited.
